Alfred Jackson testified on behalf of George McLean in a claim for payment for work done for the defendant John Meyers. Jackson stated that he also was a whitewasher by trade (as was McClean. Both Jackson and McLean were identified as “colored.” Jackson stated that he assisted in the job. His statement was taken on January 5, 1867. He made his mark. This claim was from the Louisville office.
