Enslaver Information

Name: Samuel Batterton Location: Bourbon County, Kentucky
Previous Enslaver:
Enslaver Notes:

Samuel Batterton is named as the enslaver for George Batterton however the only Samuel Batterton from Bourbon Co, Ky died in 1833. He did have a son James Batterton who was also an enslaver in Bourbon Co.,as well as his grandson Henry T. Batterton. Neither of these men were known as ‘Samuel’ so it’s unclear why Samuel Batterton is the named owner of George Batterton.
