The enslaver or his wife were not found in 1880, but at least one son, Alonzo, and his family lived in Oldham County. The 1850 census listed Morrison’s occupation as a merchant. Ten years later he was a farmer. The 1860 slave schedule reported that he owned 11 slaves who resided in 2 slave houses, including a 24-year-old male whose age matches the age of the soldier. Morrison died about 1873.
