1920 Census Notes:

Research results indicate that the soldier passed away in 1890. Consistent with this finding, the soldier’s name was not located on the census subsequent to1880. The soldier’s family members as related to the soldier’s daughter, Fanny Dailey nee White, was located on census schedules in 1900, 1910 and 1920. The professions, locality, reading/writing ability and other information reflected relates to Fanny’s spouse, Westley Dailey, as head of household until the 1920 census at which time he had passed. While she is indicated as being able to read but not write, her husband, whose occupation is reflected above, could neither read nor write. The 1920 census follows Fanny at which time she was living with her son, James, and his wife, Lilly. As head of household the requested information above then relates to James.
