Enslaver Notes:

An enslaver’s name was listed on one of the Descriptive Lists ledger book as Stith Morman; There is a name written on Alonzo Truman’s enlistment papers: Morman Stith. There is a Charles Moorman Stith (1834–1886) of Hardin County, Ky., and there is an Achilles Moorman Stith, also of Hardin County. Alonzo’s birthplace is noted as Meade County, Ky., which is adjacent to Hardin, so one of these two men may have been Alonzo’s enslaver.
