Enslaver Information

Name: Mrs. Hobbs Location:
Previous Enslaver:
Enslaver Notes:

There is a Nancy Hobbs living in Nelson County, Kentucky, in 1850 (age 47) where she owned 7 slaves. It has not been confirmed if she is the enslaver of William Hobbs. She apparently is the widow of William Hobbs. An inventory of his estate does not mention a slave named William. In 1860 Nancy Hobbs, age 45, lived in Nelson County. Nothing has been found to confirm if Nancy she was the enslaver of William Hobbs. It is not clear if she was the same Nancy in the 1850 census.
